The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is part of NEOUCOM’s Division of Clinical Sciences. Mark C. Leeson, M.D., is professor and chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The department is housed at Akron General Medical Center.  

The department faculty is made up practicing health care professionals from NEOUCOM’s affiliated hospitals throughout northeast Ohio who volunteer their time to train NEOUCOM students in clinical settings. These volunteer faculty members model NEOUCOM’s core values of competence, communication, caring, character and community in their daily practice and their teaching and mentoring of medical students.
